Established in February 2022, the Shanti शांति Foundation is a non-governmental organization launched by actress, historian and philanthropist Satine Queeni. Shanti works for frequent and varied projects worldwide such as the anti-war movement, animal welfare, historic preservation and justice for everyone everywhere.
Our varied projects worldwide
Anti-war movement
We advocate peace, diplomacy & adherence to the rule of law in international relations as opposed to the use of military deadly force to start or carry on an armed conflict.
Animal welfare
We provide medical care for a wide range of animal species, including domestic pets, livestock, wildlife and exotic animals, while maintaining and promoting animal health and welfare.
Historic preservation
We protect and preserve sites and artifacts that are historically significant. Our work ensures that future generations can explore and understand the rich history that shapes humanity.
Justice for all
We support the concept of justice for all everywhere, and that everyone, regardless of their status, is subject to the same laws and legal proceedings as anyone else.

Founder and owner of the Shanti शांति Foundation, Satine Queeni is a French-born British American actress, historian, musician and philanthropist.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT STATEMENT. We acknowledge the ancestors that were here before us, and pay respect to those who were colonized through forced relocation and displacement and we acknowledge the native people who survive, resist and are part of our community today, despite the intentional attempts at genocide. We acknowledge that the land we now call New York City, NY where our headquarters are located, are stolen lands that are the traditional lands and village sites of the Lenape (also called the Lenni Lenape and Delaware people), and other Tribes who made their homes along the Northeastern Woodlands. Satine Queeni Inc stands with all Indigenous peoples, past and present, in promoting the wise stewardship of the lands on which we live.
